And please feel invited to join us here at Mexico English Teachers' Alliance (META), which has a focus on professional development and technology (perfect fit for the Hornby program and continuing with it's purpose and energy). Since your new Ning is aligned with pre-service teachers in Escuelas Normales, META is a perfect sister/companion site for in-service teachers. META has been up and running for 2 years now and we have a membership of almost 400 teachers, in-service and pre-service student teachers.

I'm also a member of META, unlike Frank, I'm Mexican. A Potosina living in Toluca.
I'm focused on promoting and facilitating Digital Literacy in Mexico. I have a project called BaeL (Becoming an e-learner) and hopefully we'll get some donated computers in a few months. We have gathered here participants who want to learn Basic Computer Programs, English, Spanish and teachers learning to be moderators. DigiBridge will need bilingual teachers once the project starts running in 2010.
If you want to join us there that would be awesome.
